The Power Of Affirmations: 6 Life Changing Affirmations To Reprogram Your Subconscious Mind

Our subconscious mind is POWERFUL. It is the reason we think, behave, and take the actions that we do in life. Always set on autopilot, our subconscious is responsible for everything we do with little to no thought. When you are driving home after a long day, listening to music, and thinking about what we will eat for dinner, our subconscious mind is the reason we reached our destination. It has been programmed through repetition, the directions for us to reach our home without us having to hit our GPS for guidance.


All of our routines, bad habits, childhood traumas, fondest memories and even the conversation the couple behind you in the grocery checkout line were having, all are stored in the subconscious mind. When we want to break a habit or make deep profound changes, we have to reprogram this part of our mind in order to have long term success. This is where affirmations come in.


What Are Affirmations?


Affirmations are one highly effective way to reprogram your subconscious mind. What you hear and say repeatedly you will start to believe in time. Once you are successful in changing your beliefs, your thoughts, the story you unknowingly tell yourself regularly, and your energy starts to shift and the actions you take in life begin to change. Next thing you know, your reality is completely different.


Every day our subconscious mind is remembering something. The thing is, many of us are not mindful of what it is we are exposing this most susceptible part of our brain too. When we start becoming aware and protecting our subconscious mind by intentionally choosing what we want it to remember, that is when we take control of our mind and our life. Saying affirmations is a way to tell your subconscious exactly what you want it to think and believe.



Affirmations are our mental vitamins, providing the supplementary positive thoughts we need to balance the barrage of negative events and thoughts we experience daily."



I have listed six powerful affirmations below. Say these affirmations as often as you can, and you will start to see the changes in what you believe and how you think. The key for affirmations to work and be effective is repetition. So make sure you are staying consistent and saying these affirmations at least twice a day.


Also really feel and put positive emotion behind the words as you say them. I suggest focusing on one or two affirmations at a time and working with them for at least 6 weeks. Also, try creating your own affirmations. Use the phrase “I am..” to help trigger your subconscious to remember what it is being told.
